I built this website to store things that I find interesting, including documents that I stumble upon, essays that I write about topics that interest me, projects that I have worked on and basically anything else I think is worth sharing.

Machine Learning and AI — Projects that I work on, philosophical parallels between mathematical concepts in ML and human behaviour, where I think the Industry is heading and other things I think about.

History — I enjoy using history as a guide to navigating the future, and using analogies as a framework to think about things that are difficult to break down from first principles. The periods of history I like reading about are:

Singapore under Lee Kuan Yew
The American Revolution
World War 2, The Cold War and Globalization
Independent India and Liberalization

Economics — I am generally a supporter of Capitalism as the engine of Economic Progress in the world, a supporter of free trade, open markets and manufacturing. I also think economics is a great general framework to think, and that principles like opportunity costs, free markets and marginalism can be applied to everyday life.
A book that I recommend everyone reads :
"Economics in One Lesson" by Henry Hazitt.
Ps: Read the chapter "The Curse of Machinery" as evidence for why AI is unlikely to leave everyone jobless.

Space - I am a big fan of the work being done at SpaceX and other rocket companies, and I think Space brings out my spirit for exploration. I also think space is a frontier that enables abundance, from mining asteroids for resources and dyson spheres for energy. I would like to see humans become multiplanetary and set foot on the moon and on mars in my lifetime. I also think rockets are the coolest feats of engineering humans have ever built. I might also talk about space adjacent topics like Nuclear Fusion.

India — Over the last 80 years since independence, India has progressed greatly as a country. I hope to shine light on this progress that is often invisible even to Indians because of the noise of politics. I also hope to talk about the future of the country — trends I can see, where I think we should be heading, opportunities for us to get ahead, and the type of decisions I believe policymakers should make to secure a bright future for this country.

I also have some niche interests that I might not write much about, such as Neoclassical civic architecture, the open source strategy game Openfront.io and lessons from Charlie Munger.
